On Thursday evening, our founder, Pavan Amara, joined the panel for a debate hosted by London is Fem.
The motion was Feminism and Activism: How can we create change? and Pavan spoke alongside some fantastic women, including Jo-Ann Hamilton, the UN Women Global Champion for Women’s Economic Empowerment, Sarah Anderson of the No More Page 3 campaign, Chardine Taylor-Stone from Reclaim Brixton, Kate Hudson of the Left Unity Party and general secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and Shaina Yang of Cuntry Living.
We were thrilled with the audience, who were really vocal with their thoughts for positive change. So soon after the depressing news that we face another five years of defying the Conservatives, it was good to be in a room full of people who support a better, fairer world.
We’d like to give a big shout-out to London is Fem for putting on such a well organised and inclusive event.
