Love feminist porn? We need your help.

Introducing The Clit List

Many of our service users have told us they would like to view porn as an aid to orgasm, but don’t want to watch mainstream porn due to its violent and patriarchal nature.

Our service users are women who have experienced sexual violence, and have expressed how a list of films, books (and anything else) with reviews detailing the nature of the media, the sex acts involved, the plot and the language used would be useful. Also, a number of our service users have confided that they would like to use visual sex aids like films after experiencing sexual assault, to explore what they like sexually again. But they aren’t sure how to select the right films (and other media) which aren’t violent, unethical or degrading to women.

That’s why we’re creating The Clit List – a list of feminist porn to help women to choose films or skip scenes without being triggered into remembering their own experiences of sexual assault due to the film showing certain sex acts or using certain words.

The Clit List will have its own tab on our website, and be an ever growing resource of feminist porn that women can refer to and recommend additions to. It’s designed with women who have experienced sexual violence in mind, but many different types of people may benefit from it.

We’re looking for a manager for The Clit List

The The Clit List manager will be responsible for finding the best feminist porn around and watching it. You will spend time sourcing the right porn, view it, and then review it in 150-200 words per piece. We’re looking to start with a list of 10 films or websites which are reviewed by you, and then adding two items weekly. We expect this requires a commitment of 6 – 8 hours weekly, depending on how much porn you want to watch each week.

Anyone is welcome to apply, regardless of whether you’ve had your own experiences of sexual violence or not. The right attitude, time dedication, good writing ability, and fitting into our happy team are the main things. If you’ve experienced sexual violence yourself, it’s possible this job may be triggering or difficult for you at times so please do consider that before applying.

On top of your job as The Clit List manager there’s also our monthly meeting to attend – we’re a very friendly and supportive bunch so it’s usually focused yet fun.

How to apply

If you’re interested, please email us, telling us a bit about yourself over a few paragraphs, and attach a 200 word feminist porn review that you’ve written. The review can be of a website, a film, a publication or a book. As part of the short review, please include your thoughts on the item, a summary of the plot or content, the types of sex acts and language involved, any other opinions or information you want to include. We don’t mind what your writing style is, whether it’s chatty or formal, or what you choose to review, as long as it fits the criteria.

Please email us at info@mybodybackproject.com with ‘TCL manager application’ in the subject. The deadline is Monday 30 May and we look forward to hearing from you.
