Sh! Women's Store

Come and join us for Cafe V on Saturday 29th October.

This is a safe space for women who have experienced sexual violence to learn about sexual pleasure and reclaiming your body after assault. This hour-long session will explore fantasies during sex. We’ll talk about at different types of female sex fantasies and ideas for what you could explore. If you’d like to, we can also discuss aids to fantasy, like porn that doesn’t feature violence against women, feminist porn by female directors, erotic books and other non-triggering sources. We can also talk about feelings of guilt about rape fantasies or fantasies involving violence, which are really common after experiencing sexual assault and nothing to feel guilty about.

Café V is run especially for women who have experienced sexual violence. We will look at practical ways to connect with the body and physical relaxation techniques. Everybody is welcome and there will be plenty of cakes, teas and a supportive atmosphere. You can choose to listen and contribute as much or as little as you wish.

To help us with the costs of running Cafe V, we ask that you give a small donation for each session you attend. If you’re employed, we’d very much appreciate a donation of a £3 to £5. If you’re unemployed, on benefits, a single parent, a student, on sick pay or money is particularly tight that month, we’re happy to waive the donation. Just send us an email at letting us know which workshop(s) you’d like to attend and that you can’t give a donation at the moment. You’re still welcome to attend more than one workshop.

If you’d like to attend, just register through the website or email us on

Cafe V will be presented by sexual wellbeing psychologist Amanda O’Donovan (Barts Health NHS Trust) and psychologist Raquel Correia from The Havens.

This event is fully booked.
