Come and join us for Cafe V on Saturday 2nd July.
This is a safe space for women who have experienced sexual violence to learn about sexual pleasure and reclaiming your body after assault. This hour-long session will explore different ways to achieve orgasm. We’ll look at all the different methods, penetrative, non penetrative, the psychology of orgasm, the best lubes for different women, sex ideas you can experiment with – all focussed on getting you there on your own or with a partner. We’ll also talk about different problems women may experience in relation to having experienced sexual violence and how you can get past that to enjoy your orgasm. We’ll talk about feeling guilty about orgasming too, experiencing flashbacks or any other issues, as well as simply not being able to get there because of tension or anxiety about losing control.
Café V is run especially for women who have experienced sexual violence. We will look at practical ways to connect with the body and physical relaxation techniques. Everybody is welcome and there will be plenty of cakes, teas and a supportive atmosphere. You can choose to listen and contribute as much or as little as you wish.
The workshop is free of charge and you can register through the website or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cafe V will be presented by sexual wellbeing psychologist Amanda O’Donovan (Barts Health NHS Trust) and psychologist Raquel Correia from The Havens.
This event is fully booked.
