Sh! Women's Store
Come and join us for Cafe V on Saturday 19th August, with illustrator and feminist activist Jo Harrison.
This is a safe space for women who have experienced sexual violence to learn about sexual pleasure and reclaiming your body after assault. The hour-long session will cover problems with sex and sexuality including orgasm, masturbation, triggers, anxiety or pain during sex and body issues.
Café V is run especially for women who have experienced sexual violence. We will look at practical ways to connect with the body and physical relaxation techniques. Everybody is welcome and there will be plenty of cakes, teas and a supportive atmosphere. You can choose to listen and contribute as much or as little as you wish.
Jo Harrison is an illustrator and feminist activist. She illustrated Laura Bates’ Girl Up and produces visuals for various charities and campaigns focussing on body image and gender equality. These include AnyBody UK, No More Page 3, Abortion Rights and Women’s Aid.
